READ Matthew 7:7
In this passage of Scripture men are urged to pray the prayer of petition. While some consider this the lowest level of prayer, it certainly is legitimate. In fact, in James 4: 2 the Bible says, “You have not because you ask not.”
Any responsible and loving father will want to faithfully supply the needs of his children. Yet Jesus said, “If you then, who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him” (Matthew 7:11).
God wants us to make our requests know to Him. Our great God longs for us show our dependence upon Him and call upon Him to be our Jehovah Jireh (our Provider). However, there are many men who walk around as spiritual paupers, because they do not go to their Heavenly Father and make their requests known to God.
Ask God to provide for your material needs. He has the resources of the universe at His disposal and is well able to “supply all your need according to His riches is glory by Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:19).
Ask God to provide for your physical needs. He is also Jehovah Rapha (the God who heals).
Ask God to provide for you spiritual needs. He wants you to ask Him to prepare and equip you to lead and nurture you wife and children in your most holy faith.
Dear Heavenly Father, I not only want You to teach me to how to pray, but I want you to teach me first to pray – to just do it. I want to be a man of prayer. Give me the grace to spend time with you on a daily basis. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
God wants us to make our requests know to Him. Start now, ask Him to move. #realmomentum
