READ 1 Peter 5:7

The closer you get to people around you, the greater the chance that conflict will surface. Where there is character there is compatibility. Where character is lacking, there is conflict.

Psalms 15, Men of Character:

  • Their walk is blameless
  • They do what is right
  • They tell the truth
  • They don’t gossip
  • They don’t mistreat others
  • They side with those who are right
  • They keep their word
  • They lend money to those in need without interest
  • They don’t take advantage of people for financial gain

We must deliberately and sincerely cast our deepest and most intimate cares upon God and live with confidence that He is going to care for us. Nothing tests, shapes, and strengthens our character like periods of tribulation. We must not let our expectations and circumstances make us miss God. Sometimes our prayers center around the removal of the very circumstances He is using to conform us to His image.

Don’t allow a hard heart—character requires a sensitive heart.  Christianity is a lifelong process of being transformed into Christ’s likeness.

Example: The process of renewal allows you to not be afraid to “jump” into the Father’s arms – Renewal teaches you about the pool, about the water and most importantly we learn about the arms that are reaching out to catch us.

Discover the areas of your life where you need renewal. Are you convinced that God’s way is not best for you? We must cooperate with God’s purposes for our life and not fight against them.

Then we will have renewal. Then our “character” will be changed. Then we will have “put on the new”.

PRAY:
Lord Jesus, may I press in rather pull away. Shape me to be the man required for the day in which I live. May Jesus be formed in me! In His Great Name, Amen!
