1 Concord Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, KY will be kicking off a week of meetings with Keith leading a focus on men, renewal, refreshing, and revival. Pray for God to do just that in each message Keith shares over the next several days.

2 Ask God for a fresh touch upon the meetings that Keith will be leading at Concord Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, KY. Ask God to encourage Pastor Dennis and his wife, Michele, with renewed vision as passion.

3 Tomorrow is Election Day and only God can bring repentance and faith that lead to revival. Pray! We are in a desperate time in more ways than one. Ask God for a nationwide movement of revival and spiritual awakening. It’s our only hope!

4 In the Bible, when the nation of Israel faced periods of great darkness, the people were only rescued and revived when they cried out for God’s help. Could a similar cry be the answer today?

5 Pray! As you think through every sign of judgment you see on our nation. Cry out to God for His mercy! Plead with Him for forgiveness for our national sins!

6 Help, Lord! is the title of Keith’s new book intentionally written to engage men, encourage families, and equip churches for a movement of men. The book will be a tool to build awareness for people everywhere that men really do need help, no matter what they tell you. Pray that the message will be loud and clear for a movement of men as it will be released soon!

7 Reaching the next generation of men is a challenge to say the least. Pray for the next generation of men and fathers. Pray for a young man you personally know to become a faithful, godly man who will love and lead like Christ.

8 Tomorrow, Keith will begin a series of messages at Noonday Baptist Church in Marietta, GA where Richard Holden is pastor. Pray for God to move in each of the services today and tomorrow.

9 Pray specifically for Pastor Richard and his wife Terry today. Being a pastor today is more difficult than most people realize. Lift up this couple and the people they minister to and ask God to shower them with His Great love!

10 Clark Osborn will be joining with other national men’s leaders representing REAL MOMENTUM at the RELOAD Conference hosted by the National Coalition for Ministries to Men at Family Life Today in Little Rock, AR. May God move mightily in each leader.

11 Several men will be participating in our morning prayer conference call at 7:30AM today. There is no doubt that we need revival, especially among men. We are fervently praying for God to move in the lives of men. Join us!

12 At the RELOAD Conference, The National Coalition of Ministries to Men and The American Bible Society will release The Men’s Bible. The Bible contains over 70 devotions focusing on men’s subjects and Keith was privileged to be one of the contributors. Pray that God will use His Word to awaken men!

13 It was said of Robert Murray M’Cheyne, “There goes a man who loves your soul.” Ask God right now to give Keith and other men you know burning desire to love the souls of others in their home and around the world.

14 Praise the Lord for leading the men in your life into a deeper and more rewarding relationship with Him as they spend time alone with Him in prayer and devotion.

15 The Lord has surrounded Keith, Nichole and their children with a great team of Board Members who are engaged in the mission. Pray that God would continue to give wisdom and focus to each member and that we will walk by faith and not by sight for a movement of men.

16 Keith has lead an initiative to encourage men to pray for their pastor every day. Today is Keith’s day to pray specifically for his pastor, Dr. Johnny Hunt of FBC Woodstock. Join Keith in prayer by lifting up your pastor today as well.

17 Please pray for the development of the REAL MOMENTUM app. Pray for the Design Team to think through and organize men’s material concerning several subjects and focuses. Pray for implementation and release in January 2015 at the Johnny Hunt Men’s Conference in Woodstock, GA.

18 Keith believes that the largest unengaged people group in America today are men, even though they attend worship services on Sundays and even conferences on the weekend. Ask God to speak into the heart of every man, helping him see just how important he really is to his family and his church.

19 Pray for tonight’s last night of the Young Single Men’s Bible Study. Pray for God’s touch on the group of young single men from FBC Woodstock. Ask God to continue fanning the flame for investing in the next generation of men. Praise God for Tony Williams, Eric Bolding, Steve Hyland, and Rick Bellerjeau who invested their time and life experience to help young men win!

20 Pray that your church will bring ministry to men to the forefront of their disciple-making process. Ask God to stir the pastors and staff across America for men to unite hearts to develop an effective discipleship ministry to men.

21 The average man sitting in your church knows, deep down, that he could be more than he has become. What are you and I doing to help him become that man? We need your prayers and with God’s help we can continue to find ways to engage, encourage, and equip men with families and churches in mind.

22 The devil has a much more effective plan to reach men than do most churches and REAL MOMENTUM exists to see that change. Pray that God would use our ministry to bring awareness and focus for intentional discipleship for boys and men.

23 Pray for men to win at home. Pray that they have real momentum. Pray that their family is moving towards God and not away from Him, that their children are running towards Christ and that they are doing their best to help them get there.

24 Fewer than 10% of U.S. churches are able to establish or maintain a vibrant men’s ministry. Pray that God would burden pastors and all men to begin establishing a viable ministry to men in their church and community.

25 Several men will be participating in our morning prayer conference call at 7:30AM today. There is no doubt that we need revival, especially among men. We are fervently praying for God to move in the lives of men. Join us!

26 Pray for the Ministries who are in partnership with REAL MOMENTUM. Life Action Ministries, OneCry, Ministry Ventures, National Coalition of Ministries to Men, Iron Sharpens Iron, Man in the Mirror, Iglesia Bautista Vida Nueva Santiago, Dominican Republic and others.

27 Happy Thanksgiving! Prayerfully read through Psalm 150 and celebrate His goodness. Praise the Lord!

28 Pray that your church would become a place where every man is discipled and that no man is left behind. Those boys and girls in the nursery and youth group need your church to build men!

29 Ask God to bring to your mind the men in your life. As He does, begin praying for them. Pray for their spiritual growth as a leader in the home. Pray that God would give them a thirsty soul and a hungry spirit to live out Biblical manhood.

30 December 3-5 Keith will be joining several leaders at the Fatherhood Leaders Summit at WinShape Retreat. Pray that God would inspire Keith and others to champion Fatherhood both inside and outside the Church through clear, compelling evidence of God’s design for dads as noble difference makers in their families and the world.

The Movement Continues

By | Blog | One Comment

The movement of men continues as REAL MOMENTUM Ministries, Inc. expands into the Midwest with Clark Osborn serving as a missionary to men as our new Midwest Regional Director in Omaha, NE.

Clark and his wife, Janet, have been married 29 years and have three adult children, a daughter-in-law and two grandchildren.

Outside of being a husband, father, and grandfather, Clark brings 20 years of men’s ministry experience to REAL MOMENTUM. In 1998, serving as an Ambassador and Volunteer Coordinator for the first Promise Keepers conference in Omaha would eventually lead to Clark answering God’s call to minister to men in November 2011 as Assistant Director with Heartland Men of Faith.

He uses his certification as a Christian Life Coach from Light University and his professional background as a small business owner with experience in sales and IT to engage men. Over the years, Clark’s men’s ministry experience includes representing Man in the Mirror by helping churches disciple men through a flexible process that combines the principles of No Man Left Behind, church events, small group curricula, Bible Study, and more.

RMOmahaNE

Strategically for REAL MOMENTUM in Omaha, Clark will serve as a missionary and ministry coach to pastors, leaders, families, and churches by being a voice for men and adding value by providing intentional ministry to and through men to help churches start or restart a strategy that brings ministry to men to the forefront of their discipleship approach.

In partnership with the Iron Sharpens Iron National Network of Men’s Ministries, Clark will be the lead for REAL MOMENTUM in Omaha, and other cities in the future. In 2014, he was the Conference Coordinator for the Omaha Iron Sharpens Iron (ISI) Men’s Equipping Conference that drew over 500 men and we anticipate that many and more for the Omaha ISI on February 21, 2015.

He currently serves on the Men’s Ministry leadership team at his church in Omaha and is also involved in student ministry and as a small group coach.

We are excited about Clark joining the REAL MOMENTUM team and anticipate God using him to engage men, encourage families, and equip churches for a movement of men in the Midwest from Omaha to the ends of the earth.

Getting Alone with God

Yet the news about Jesus spread all the more, so that crowds of people came to hear Him, and to be healed of their sickness. But Jesus often withdrew to lonely places and prayed. Luke 5:15 (NIV)

Andrew Murray said, “No man can expect to make progress in holiness who is not often long alone with God.” Pray intentionally that Keith would fight to find some significant amounts of time alone with God. Pray that men in your life would fight to find time alone with God this month.

1 Today Keith will lead a team of faithful Godly men (Eric Bolding, Tony Williams, Steve Hyland, Rick Bellerjeau) in discipling young single men. Over the next eight weeks, pray that God would touch each life for His glory and raise up a generation of warriors for the Kingdom.

2 Today is the day for the REAL MOMENTUM GOLF CHALLENGE. Many have been raising friends and funds for this event and special time to celebrate the Lord and all who He has led to support a movement of men through REAL MOMENTUM. Pray for the Lord to bless the efforts of so many who have given their talent, time and financial support to make this event successful.

3 Keith, Nichole and the family recently welcomed Mae Ellyn Boggs born on August 27, 2014. The birth announcement of Mae Ellyn comes with great joy and needed prayers for her future she was recently diagnosed with Down Syndrome. Read the announcement here.

4 Pray for the Lord to do a new work in the heart of every man, so that they will do whatever it takes to get alone with Him for a while each day.

5 Men are made for gaps! “So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one” (Ezekiel 22:30). Pray that men everywhere will step up and fill the gaps.

6 Tomorrow morning, 77 TIME meets early for Dad’s of young men and women who attend Mount Paran Christian School. 7 Tomorrow night, Keith and Nichole will be discipling the young singles from First Baptist Church Woodstock, GA.

8 Help, LORD! is the title of Keith’s new book intentionally written to engage men, encourage families, and equip churches for a movement of men. Pray that the message will be loud and clear for a movement of men as it will be released soon!

9 Tonight the Board of Directors will gather together for devotion and prayer in seeking God for a movement of men. God is at work and momentum is building.

10 Tonight begins a men’s retreat for Burnt Hickory Baptist in Lake Guntersville, AL. Pray for God to use each message Keith shares today to penetrate the heart of each man.

11 The men’s retreat for Burnt Hickory continues with a full day of activities. Ask God to infuse the men with the burden for a movement of men that transforms families and churches to the ends of the earth.

12 Through direction from the Lord and wise counsel of others, a decision was made with heavy hearts to postpone the ministry opportunity at the Awaken Uganda Conference. Please pray for the Awaken to Follow Team in Uganda as they pursue their God given desire to see national repentance among those in Uganda. Pray also for the Lord to grant another opportunity for REAL MOMENTUM to minister to the Ugandan people in 2015.

13 Pray for the Lord to teach men how to tune out the noises and distractions around them, so that they can tune in to His voice and aim their prayers with precision.

14 Several men will be participating in our morning prayer conference call at 7AM today. There is no doubt that we need revival, especially among men. We are fervently praying for God to move in the lives of men. Join us!

15 Fewer than 10% of U.S. churches are able to establish or maintain a vibrant men’s ministry. Pray that God would burden pastors and all men to begin establishing a viable ministry to men in their church and community.

16 Pray for men to win at home. Pray that they have real momentum. Pray that their family is moving towards God and not away from Him, that their children are running towards Christ and that they are doing their best to help them get there.

18 Ask God to bring to your mind the men in your life. As He does, begin praying for them. Pray for their spiritual growth as a leader in the home. Pray that God would give them a thirsty soul and a hungry spirit to live out Biblical manhood wherever they live, work, or play?

19 One of our core values is to partner with ministries and organizations for a movement of men. Pray that God would move on several ministries and businesses to become a Corporate Sponsor for our upcoming REAL MOMENTUM Golf Challenge.

20 Praise the Lord for leading the men in your life into a deeper and more rewarding relationship with Him as they spend time alone with Him in prayer and devotion.

21The Lord has surrounded Keith, Nichole and their children with a great team of Board Members who are engaged in the mission. Pray that God would continue to give wisdom and focus to each member and that we will walk by faith and not by sight for a movement of men.

22 The devil has a much more effective plan to reach men than do most churches and REAL MOMENTUM exists to see that change. Pray that God would use our ministry to bring awareness and focus for intentional discipleship for boys and men everywhere, beginning at home.

23 It was said of Robert Murray M’Cheyne, “There goes a man who loves your soul.” Ask God right now to give Keith and other men you know burning desire to love the souls of others in their home and around the world.

24 Pray for the men, and women who will attend the REAL MOMENTUM Marriage Emphasis Weekend at The Gathering at Brock in Brock, TX. Coed sessions start tonight!

25 The Gathering at Brock men will be challenged by the message of REAL MOMENTUM. Pray that these men will ignite a movement of men in their homes, church, and community.

26 Please pray today for opportunities for Nichole to speak in to the lives of the ladies attending the RM Marriage conference at The Gathering at the Brock. Pray for Nichole to have favor in encouraging women to pray for a movement of men.

27 Pray for the Ministries who are in partnership with REAL MOMENTUM. Life Action Ministries, OneCry, Ministry Ventures, National Coalition of Ministries to Men, Iron Sharpens Iron, Man in the Mirror, Iglesia Bautista Vida Nueva Santiago, Dominican Republic and others.

28 Several men will be participating in our morning prayer conference call at 7AM today. There is no doubt that we need revival, especially among men. We are fervently praying for God to move in the lives of men. Join us!

29 Reaching the next generation of men is a challenge to say the least. Pray for the next generation of men and fathers. Pray for a young man you personally know to become a faithful, godly man who will love and lead like Christ.

30 There are many women with a personal relationship with Jesus who take their children to church and actively teach them to love Jesus, while their husbands are non-believers. Please pray for these families for God to use the testimony of the wife and children to win these husbands and fathers to faith in Christ.

31 Give God praise for what He has done this month. Thank Him for being faithful, holy, merciful, full of grace and love. May everything done bring glory to God through Jesus, His Son.

Marvelous Are His Works

The arrival of Mae Ellyn was one of anticipation and God intimately and intently designed and delivered her to our family on August 27, 2014 at 5:24 AM.

She is special in more ways than one.

Nichole and I wanted to share with you about our journey over the last 34 days and ask for your prayers as we move into a future we are still learning about.

“Every good and every perfect gift is from above,
and comes down from the Father of lights…”
James 1:17

ED9A6445

On August the 27th at 5:24 a.m., after only 4 hours of labor, our little Mae Ellyn Boggs was born in our home surrounded and welcomed by family.  Mae Ellyn was prayed for over a year earlier by many of our children who had begged us to have another baby. It would be this very thing that would later bring Keith and I great comfort.

Some of the older children attended the birth and even our new puppy, Bennett, tried to stick his head in the door. We were all anxiously awaiting her appearance! What a wonderful surprise the little ones who were sleeping sweetly would have when they awakened.

As I drew Mae Ellyn up into my arms and heard her first cry, I was thankful once again for a beautiful and perfect little baby.  She was a little blue looking and her face had eyes that were swollen, a crooked nose, and lightly bruised. But, oh so perfect! She had been a little cock-eyed in the birth canal, which caused the distortions. It also may have slowed labor just a bit, so that our midwife, Brenda, could arrive on time and Keith didn’t “deliver babies.”

In the moments and hours that followed, Brenda would politely ask the rest of our family to leave the room as she wanted to talk with me and Keith alone. Both of us later told each other that we thought she was about to say something about me. But, we soon found out that she had suspicions that Mae could possibly have Down Syndrome.  Because of noticing four or five indicators, she recommended a second opinion and more testing to make sure Mae was okay.

Her heart and other things would need to be checked rather quickly in hopes to catch a possible defect that could bring her harm. All of her checkups have gone great. Her heart looks healthy so far. She had some slow weight gain, but that is doing better. However, after waiting 4 weeks, it was verified through blood work that she did in fact have Down Syndrome.

Initially, coming from a place where we knew very little about Downs (still do), we were surprised and saddened. What did this mean? Is she going to be ok? Did we do something wrong? What will life be like for her and for us?

After many days of wondering and pondering, and through many conversations of others sharing such sweet stories, I had come to John chapter 9 in my Bible reading. The disciples came to Jesus about a man who was blind. “Did this man sin or his parents sin that caused him to be born blind?” they asked. Jesus response to them was, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him.”

Mae Ellyn is “the works of God…..”

A dear friend of mine, who was praying for us and for Mae as we awaited results, told me, “Nichole, we must remember that all of this…. all that God has allowed… it is His Kingdom work. When God says, “This is for my Kingdom,” we say “Yes, Sir.” I pray that I will never forget her wisdom as I watch Him work.

I could share so much more, because so much has happened over this last month. It has been a wonderful month! I will end my part of the story with a glimpse into the day Mae Ellyn was born and a passage of Scripture.

That evening on the 27th, Keith and I decided to share the news with the children. I believe we knew in our hearts already. As they all gathered in our bedroom, we told them of the possibility. Tears were shed. We really didn’t know why we were crying. The little ones certainly did not. What we did know, is that we wanted, with all our hearts, to trust the Lord.

We laid little Mae in the middle of our bed and Keith began to read Psalm 139. As we leaned toward her, some were holding her hands, some caressing her little body, we went around and those that wanted to, prayed to Almighty God. We lifted up our heart cry for her and for ourselves. Morgan (our second daughter), at the request of her daddy, began to play a song on her guitar and those that could began to sing.

ED9A6653-2

The love we had for the little one God entrusted us with grew 10 times deeper as they left the room than it had been when they entered. We were stepping out in faith and trusting that He knows best.  Something we continue to repeat.

She is precious. She is sweet. She is so beautiful. She is His and she is ours. May we love her well… may we love each other well.

“For you formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are your works, And that my soul knows very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was made in secret, and skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed, and in your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them. How precious also are your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand.” Psalm 139: 13-18

This has never been more real than it is now,

Nichole

————————————–

I was the first to hold Mae Ellyn and even though I was joyful my focus was not on her, it was on Nichole. She had challenges after Maleah’s and Mercy’s births, so focusing on Nichole was priority for me. Nichole is an amazing wife and mother. Not only does she do me good, she does our children good as well. I praise God for her and our children rise up and call her blessed.

As time went on that morning, Nichole was a little light-headed which concerned me and I never felt like she was in the “safe zone” especially when Brenda asked everyone to leave the room so she could speak to us. My heart sank as I looked at Brenda and waited for her to speak.

The words I would hear from Brenda were bitter (the meaning of Mae’s name) to my ears as she shared about her concern for our little girl and the possibility of Down Syndrome. I must have said “Down Syndrome” thousands of times in my mind that day. What does this mean? What do we do? Who do we tell? What do we say?

God led us and we followed.

Things slowed and as time allowed, we made calls and sent text messages to friends and family we knew would pray. We also felt that it was very important for us to tell her sisters and brothers. I thought… we are a family and we need each other for the journey that is ahead.

Looking back, on Christmas Day in 2013, our children celebrated with great excitement when we told them number 9 was one the way. The announcement of another child was the highlight of Christmas and their excitement and celebration was special then, it is even more special today.

August 27th was a long day for me. I was both tired and troubled. But the way the day ended would be the most intimate and impactful worship experience for me as a man. I was moved as a husband and as a father and God was at work in each of our lives.

Family worship (or Bible Time as we like to call it) is a priority for us. We do not get to have family worship every night, but we try to have time together with the Scriptures, prayers, and singing most nights. We know we need Him.

We gathered the children and Nichole’s mother around little Mae Ellyn who lay on our bed. As I began to tell our children, I knew what passage God was leading me to read to our family for hope and comfort…

From Psalm 139, God used the following to bring light and beauty out of the darkness…

“Even there Your hand will shall lead me, and Your right hand shall hold me. If I say, ‘Surely the darkness shall fall on me,’ even the night shall be light about me; Indeed, darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You. For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well.”
–Ps. 139: 10-14

After reading and crying, I asked everyone to touch little Mae with their hands. I felt led to lead us in a prayer of dedication to Our Great God for her and asked each one to pray that wanted to. The prayers were simple. The prayers were powerful. One child praised God, remembering their excitement on Christmas day. One child thanked God for giving Mae Ellyn the last name Boggs. God moved in our darkness with “light” and “beauty,” which happens to be the meaning of Ellyn.

Hands

For me, the day that started with bitter news was now ending in the most powerful worship experience I have ever had. There, in the center of our bed was light and beauty surrounded by lots of love. In the midst of that room God brought great healing to my heart, after all He is the Father of lights.

On Tuesday, September 23rd, we received a call from the pediatrician’s office informing us that our midwife’s concern for Down Syndrome was in fact a reality for little Mae Ellyn, and for our family.

As I think about the days ahead for her and for each one of us, I am very hopeful. Just as God takes her hand, I know He is taking our hands. He will lead her and He will lead us. I am certain that God will hold her while He is holding us. I am confident that in each step of the way the night shall be light about us and marvelous will be His works!

That my soul knows very well!

Our vision is for REAL MOMENTUM Ministries, Inc. to become known as a movement of men that transforms families and churches to the ends of the earth.

We are seeing that become a reality!

God has surrounded us with a great team of men and women who are helping us raise awareness and funding for a movement of men through our upcoming REAL MOMENTUM Golf Challenge, at Towne Lake Hills Golf Club on October 2, 2014 with special guest Dr. Crawford Loritts, Senior Pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, GA.

BoggsFamily_MaeArrival

This Inaugural Golf Challenge has given us the privilege to partner with those who already believe in our vision. Dozens of men and women are helping us build awareness of the need for intentional ministry to men and to also gather the necessary funding to continue expanding the movement in the following ways:

1. Continue to implement an intentional ministry presence to men, families, and churches in strategic regions of the United States by being fully funded and bringing on more missionary staff.

2. Develop and release podcasts, articles, prayer guides, and much more through a REAL MOMENTUM Men’s App for Apple and Android devices. App development is in the beginning stages and we expect to release it in early 2015.

3. Fund strategic mission partnerships with men for men not only in the continental USA but also in the Dominican Republic, Uganda, and Alaska. God has opened doors in the hearts of men in these countries and we are preparing for more.

We are looking forward to your partnership by sponsoring our team for this great opportunity. Contributing a gift of $50, $100, $250, $500, or any amount that you feel led to give will make a lasting difference in the lives of men, families, and churches everywhere.

Help us be a catalyst for this movement of men by sponsoring our team for the Golf Challenge today!

You can give online by clicking HERE.

Thanks for joining us as we work together in changing the world, one man, family, and church at a time!

6 One of our core values is to partner with ministries and organizations for a movement of men. Pray that God would move on several ministries and businesses to become a Corporate Sponsor for our upcoming REAL MOMENTUM Golf Challenge.

7 In October, Keith will have the privilege of traveling to Uganda to speak to several hundred men for the Awake Uganda – a 3-Day Conference Raising Momentum Toward National Repentance. Brandon Rosko will be joining Keith to lead men’s breakout sessions so begin lifting up these men as they continue to raise funds and prepare messages.

8 REAL MOMENTUM Ministries is organized around the five best practices of prayer, ministry model, board development, administration and fundraising. Pray that the board will continue to leverage these best practices to keep our ministry viable and sustainable for many generations to come.

9 Several men will be participating in our morning prayer conference call at 7AM today. There is no doubt that we need revival, especially among men. We are fervently praying for God to move in the lives of men. Join us!

10 The devil has a much more effective plan to reach men than do most churches and REAL MOMENTUM exists to see that change. Pray that God would use our ministry to bring awareness and focus for intentional discipleship for boys and men everywhere, beginning at home.

11 Part of the mission of REAL MOMENTUM is to engage men. Pray for the Board and other men who will make up the team that will begin the early stages of developing a Men’s App with strong content to help men win in every area of their life. Steve Hyland will be the lead on this project. The vision of the REAL MOMENTUM App is that it will be accessed and used by men more than The Weather or ESPN App.

12 Jesus showed us how to grow a healthy church: focus on men first. REAL MOMENTUM exists to equip churches to bring ministry to their forefront of their discipleship ministry. Pray that more and more churches will be intentional in ministry to men.

13 Keith is working on a new REAL MOMENTUM book. His daughter, Madison has helped greatly with this project. Pray for clarity and focus as they work on the finishing touches.

14 Christ loved women and children, but he spent most of his time and energy developing a handful of men. He knew a truth we’ve forgotten: if you transform men, you transform the family, the community and the culture. Pray to that end today!

15 Many men are starting to work toward a movement of men in preparing for the upcoming REAL MOMENTUM Golf Challenge. Lift up this event and pray for God to continue using John White of Golf for Goodness Sake and our Golf Tournament Chairmen, Tony Williams and John Hall. Tournament day is October 2, 2014.

16 Pray for the Ministries who are in partnership with REAL MOMENTUM. Life Action Ministries, OneCry, Ministry Ventures, National Coalition of Ministries to Men, Iron Sharpens Iron, Man in the Mirror, Iglesia Bautista Vida Nueva Santiago, Dominican Republic and others.

17 Help, LORD! is the title of Keith’s new book intentionally written to engage men, encourage families, and equip churches for a movement of men. The book is a tool to build awareness for people everywhere that men really do need help, no matter what they tell you. Pray that the message will be loud and clear for a movement of men as it will be released soon!

18 Reaching the next generation of men is a challenge to say the least. Pray for the next generation of men and fathers. Pray for a young man you personally know to become a faithful, godly man who will love and lead like Christ.

19 It was said of Robert Murray M’Cheyne, “There goes a man who loves your soul.” Ask God right now to give Keith and other men you know a burning desire to love the souls of others in their home and around the world.

20 Keith will be leading a Life Action Pre-Summit for FBC Lyons, GA today through Monday. This is a strategic weekend in preparing the staff, leadership, and church for seeking God through prayer and preaching the Word. May God set the stage for a fresh move of His Spirit in the church and community.

21 Whoever wants the next generation will get them. Pray for favor and blessing in the families and churches you know that are in your community.

22 It’s just a few short weeks before Keith and Brandon Rosko board a plan to Uganda. God is at work there and doors are opening for future ministry opportunities in the region. Pray for God to raise up Strategic Mission Partnerships that would focus on biblical manhood and true womanhood.

23 Several men will be participating in our morning prayer conference call at 7AM today. There is no doubt that we need revival, especially among men. We are fervently praying for God to move in the lives of men. Join us!

24 A week from today Keith will lead a team of faithful Godly men (Eric Bolding, Tony Williams, Steve Hyland, Rick Bellerjeau) in discipling young single men. Over the next eight week, pray that God would touch each life for His glory and raise up a generation of warriors for the Kingdom!

25 The most strategic investment we can make today is to invest in men. Because when you invest in men, you also invest in wives and children, churches and communities… to the ends of the earth and for the glory of God. Pray that God would send new monthly financial partners to come alongside REAL MOMENTUM and help win the battle for men’s souls.

26 Men from Sugar Grove Church (Goshen, IN) will be gathering together at Life Action Camp (Buchanan, MI) for a retreat. Tonight, Keith will have the privilege of speaking to the leadership team. Ask God to move this church to intentionally disciple men in their church.

27 The men’s retreat for Sugar Grove continues with a full day of activities. Pray for God to use each message Keith shares today to penetrate the heart of each men. Ask God to infuse them with the burden for a movement of men that transforms families and churches to the ends of the earth.

28 Yesterday, made one month for little Mae Ellyn Boggs being in our midst. Would you lift her up to our Great God for His continual favor and blessing upon her life? The Boggs family knows that she has been intimately and intentionally designed for God. He is good at what He does!

29 Dozens of ministry partners have been raising awareness and rallying support from their friends and family for REAL MOMENTUM through the Golf Challenge. Pray that God would bless our efforts for His glory.

30 Give God praise for what He has done this month. Thank Him for being faithful, holy, merciful, full of grace and love. May everything done bring glory to God through Jesus, His son.

Prayer Calendar August 2014

Battle Ready?

“Therefore I stationed some of the people behind the lowest points of the wall at the exposed places, posting them by families, with their swords, spears and bows. After I looked things over, I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes. When our enemies heard that we were aware of their plot and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to our own work.”

Younger Generation and the USA

By | Blog | No Comments

Over the last 3-4 years our oldest children (Madison, Morgan, Mallory, and Meghan) have been saturated in American History. Just this year, we introduced World History to the oldest two. The curriculum that we chose in the beginning of those years is heavy on literature and introduces them to all sorts of wonderful books that they have devoured. Little did I know, over that span of time, something was taking place in their hearts. Particularly the oldest, Madison.

It was a normal Boggs household day full of cooking, cleaning, schooling, and entertaining little ones. Madison had been downstairs in her bedroom for some time. She “arose” and when I finally took a second to glance her way, I could tell that she had been crying.

Madison loves to read. She loves mysteries and drama. But, what she has really come to love are books that are based on a factual events. History. With history comes the truth of very difficult times. She had our permission to put any book away if it was too much for her. But, she couldn’t. Something had began to stir within her. She was awakened to the amazing reality of the blessedness of the this life we have been given in this land that we live.

I found out her tears were not from the sadness of the book, but more so her awareness of the HUGE sacrifice given throughout time on our behalf. She was saddened to think (in her very young mind), that we could very possibly be squandering away that most precious gift.

Without trying to further articulate her thoughts to you, I will let her do it herself in the way of a short story she recently submitted to a writing contest. She was only able to communicate her heart in 1,000 words. I know for a fact that there is so much more she could have said. She is 14. She gives me hope, because I believe if we are faithful as parents to give a thorough understanding of our rich history to our children, we may very well have a younger generation who are willing to fight to keep alive the moral, religious, and constitutional heritage that we have been given.

A SACRIFICE TO LIVE FOR
By Madison Boggs

It started out like any other day, with trees swaying to and fro, tall grass rolling in the wind like waves in the sea, and then one telegram turned that beautiful day dark and black.

I ran down stairs to prepare lunch and while cooking fried chicken, I was reminded of the last time I had made it for my brother Tom. It was before he’d left to join the war, but now he was stationed in Germany, and I worried about him constantly.

My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at the door, and after wiping my hands, I went to see whom it was. I opened the door to see an army officer standing with a yellow telegram in his hand. My throat clogged with fear, my body stiffened, and panic was setting in. I opened my mouth to call mother, but nothing came out.

With a solemn face the army officer held out the telegram.

He asked,  “Are your parents home?”

After shaking my head yes I managed to muster, “Mother!”

Mother ran in, took one look at the army officer, and one look at my ghostly white face. “Oh dear God, no!”

The army officer handed her the telegram saying, “I’m truly sorry ma’am.” With that he left.

Mother led me into the kitchen, where she called my Father and my sister Sally down. She mumbled something about Tom, and then broke down into a stream of sorrowful tears. Her body shook with each sob. I stood panic-stricken.

Father took the telegram from Mother’s trembling hands. He swallowed hard and read.

We are sorry to inform you that

Lieutenant Thomas Arnold

died in action May 30, 1943

With those words I felt the room getting smaller, my head spinning, and darkness was closing in.

I woke up to find myself in bed, with confusion confining me. But, things quickly came rolling back as Father walked in, his face white with dark circles under his eyes, a dead giveaway he hadn’t slept a wink. I suddenly remembered what happened yesterday. My brother was dead. I felt my body go numb. Father came and put his hand over mine.

“Oh, my dear Kate.” Father said.

I looked at his face, full of worry and concern, but more than that was sadness.

My numbness left. Tears I had been holding in streamed down my cheeks. I started to sob uncontrollably. My sadness intertwined with anger at my brother for leaving, at Father for letting him, and at the war! Father’s eyes filled with sympathy, which only made it worse. I didn’t want his sympathy, I wanted my brother!

Father wrapped his arms around me. I clung to him tight, afraid to let go. He was silent, letting me cry. I felt my heart truly breaking. Finally after crying till I could cry no more I looked at Father. His teary eyes were filled with love.

“I don’t understand why he had to go and fight. If he had stayed, he’d still be with us.” I whispered.

“He did what he had to do. You might not understand now, but one day you will.” Father replied, handing me a letter.

I looked down to see whom it was from. I saw Tom’s familiar handwriting.

At my questioning look Father said, “He wrote that the day before he died.”

Then he slipped out the door leaving me with what you could call my final hour with Tom.

With shaking hands, I opened the letter. Tears threatened to fall, for I knew this would be the last letter I read from Tom. Silently I read:

Dear Kate,

I cannot tell you how much I miss you. Your letters brighten my days. We are getting ready for the battle tomorrow, and I feel I must write to you for I might not survive. Please understand that if I die, I died fighting for a cause, and I’m okay with that. I’m fighting in this war for our next generations, so that they will live in freedom. I love my country and I honor the sacrifice that our men made when they fought to be a free country.

Tomorrow I will raise our flag high, for it is America and my family that I fight for. I fight for the children yet to be born, so that when they come into the world they will be born in the land of the free. There is evil and it’s up to us to fight it. You and our family give me the courage for what I will face. The ugly face of death makes me want to tremble, but I will stand tall. Most of all I’m fighting for the ones that have lost their lives for America.

Kate, there is one thing I ask of you. Will you live for the ones that have died? Live out their courage so it will never be forgotten? Live for the ones still fighting? Please don’t grieve long for me if you receive word of my death, for now you know what I have died for. You will have battles of your own. You will have to fight the grief and hardship. I know you will fight with courage.

Take care of Mother and Father for me. Share the letter with the family. I love you all more then words can say. Live for the sacrifice that all us men are making.

Your loving Brother,
Tom

As I closed the letter, a new set of tears began to fall. He died fighting for what he believed in. He was right, I do and will have battles of my own, but this sadness wasn’t going to win. Tom wouldn’t want us to feel sad, he’d want us to understand. I got off my bed and went to share the letter with my family. I had a battle to fight, and I would win for Tom. I now understood, it is a sacrifice I will live for.

Whoever wants the next generation will get them,
Nichole

We know that He can bless and revive our country again. May the God of this nation send a spiritual awakening that will turn the hearts of men and women, boys and girls back to Him.

27 “Help Lord, for the godly man ceases…” (Psalm 12:1) Pray for a godly man you know. Pray for God to encourage him in his Christian walk and to maximize his influence to generate real momentum in others to walk as godly men.

28 Keith believes that the largest unengaged people group in America today are men, even though they attend worship services on Sundays and even conferences on the weekend. Ask God to speak into the heart of every man, helping him see just how important he really is to his family and his church.

29 Pray that God will work in the lives of specific men you know who are failing in some way–spiritually, emotionally, physically, financially, and relationally. God can invade their hearts and lives, ask Him, now!

Fathers Matter

In some circles in today’s society, fathers are being considered irrelevant in parenting and leading their family. According to God’s Word, fathers matter and are to be honored. The influence of a godly father can have an eternal impact on his family and many generations that follow. Please take time this month to honor our fathers through prayer.

1 G Campbell Morgan once said, “The Kingdom of God is not going to be advanced by our churches becoming filled with men, but men in our churches becoming filled with God. Beginning today, and each day of this month, pray for God to fill men to the full with His great power!

2 Keith Boggs, Executive Director, REAL MOMENTUM Ministries, Inc. Please pray for Keith and his wife, Nichole. Ask God to continue making Himself known personally and powerfully in each of their individual lives and their children. Ask the Lord to continue teaching them and leading them as they work to see REAL MOMENTUM become known as a movement of men that is being unleashed and unhindered for the glory of God transforming families and churches to the ends of the earth.

3 Pray for men and fathers to empty themselves and consider the needs of others more important than their own. May men become servant leaders of their home, church and occupation. (Philippians 2:3-8)

4 Today is the birthday of Keith’s dad, Gene Boggs. Pray that God would encourage him as a man of God. He continues to have a lasting impact on Keith and his siblings: Larry, Wanda, and Kenny. Gene’s life is leaving a legacy and we celebrate his life today! 13 Lessons Learned in ’13

By | Blog | 2 Comments

Although I have ministered to men for a number of years, I have not intentionally lived and breathed ministry to men like this year since launching REAL MOMENTUM Ministries in February 2013.

Reflecting over this first year of ministry, I wanted to share with you 13 lessons that I learned in 2013. Some of the lessons were on the list before the list and they will remain on the list after the list. Make sense? The reality is that there are some lessons that we must never forget, especially in ministering to men.

I’d love to have some feedback, so feel free to leave a comment at the end of this post.

Here we go…

The Most Powerful Team on the Planet

By | Blog | One Comment

“The most powerful team on the planet is a husband and wife walking in oneness before a Holy God. And, God is calling me to be the MVP.” I have made that statement several times this past year in ministering to men and families in churches from several different states in many special settings.

Today marks 16 years ago that I stood before God with family and friends as witnesses gathered, holding the hand of a sweet, beautiful lady, Amy Nichole Williams.

That day, we became one with God in covenant marriage. Today and together as one, our aim continues to be the glory of God and our hope, the grace of God… ultimately displaying the Gospel of Jesus Christ. By no means have we arrived, but we are moving with relentless passion as one toward all that He had planned for us to be long ago.

I am not so sure that I am living as the MVP in this covenant. My wife is amazing! To out-perform her would be a miracle. God has graced Nichole uniquely, and those of you who know her, can see that very clearly. So, I am most needy in the same grace of God to love, Nichole, as Christ loved the church. I want to be the Most Valuable Partner in my covenant with her so that Jesus is glorified in Nichole being loved by me, her husband, the way she deserves to be loved.

So, by faith and empowered by the grace of God, I, Keith Boggs…

1. Resolve to Love Nichole by Leading. Nichole, by the grace and for the glory of our great God, I seek to lead you and our family to be everything He has created you and them to be so that we all can continue to grow in the likeness and love of Jesus Christ.

2. Resolve to Love Nichole by Lifting. Nichole, by the grace and for the glory of our great God, I seek to lift you with honor in conversation and conduct wherever we go and whatever we do as a valuable and priceless blessing to me, and our children… Madison, Morgan, Mallory, Meghan, Joshua, Stephen, Maleah, and Mercy.

3. Resolve to Love Nichole by Listening. Nichole, by the grace and for the glory of our great God, I seek to be quick to listen and slow to speak so that I may help you instead of wounding and hurting you, realizing that God has created you to be His help to me.

4. Resolve to Love Nichole by Learning. Nichole, by the grace and for the glory of our great God, I seek to stay close to you, to mingle with you, to follow hard after you, to stay very close by you, to hold on to you, to not turn lose of you, to be near you so that I may glorify Him about you!

5. Resolve to Love Nichole by Lasting. Nichole, by the grace and for the glory of our great God, I am going to live first unto the Lord Jesus and go the distance with you and for you!

For Nichole, Our Children & Our Children’s Children;
In the Name of My Great God, Jesus Christ;

Some of you maybe wondering, “Why would he write a blog about this?” I am reminded of a powerful passage in Nehemiah 4 which I have included below that I long to see happening in our homes and churches around the world. Would you pray for us, as we pray for you?

Therefore I positioned men behind the lower parts of the wall,
at the openings; and I set the people according to their families,
with their swords, their spears, and their bows.

And I looked, and arose and said
to the nobles, to the leaders, and to the rest of the people,

“Do not be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, great and awesome,
and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.”

Let the Men of God Arise!

“HELP, LORD, for the godly man ceases!”

Our world is broken because men are broken.

There is a spiritual battle for the souls of men and their families.

But a faithful man who can find? Aren’t they in the church?

Men in the church face the same challenges as men outside the church.

Keep Christ in Front of Christmas

By | Blog | One Comment

I know, I know, I know… it’s not even November and I’m already talking about Christmas. There’s a big reason why! My friend, Mike Young, has been intentionally pouring his life into men. He founded Nobel Warriors (www.noblewarriors.org) in 2005 with a vision for men to walk with Christ and lead their families.

He recently sent me a big box, full of wood. But, there was more in that box than wood. It was filled with inspiration and instruction, encouragement and empowerment for me to build into my boys and girls, it was called The Manger Build – A Tool for Building Men

I knew the package was on the way so I took Joshua and Stephen with me to Home Depot to get them their first tool, a hammer for each. Ouch! Then, when got home, we unpacked the box together and I shared with them that they were going to build a manger together and scheduled the next morning as the project date.

Man, we were pumped up! And ole snaggle-toothed Joshua couldn’t stop smiling…  Read More

To Train Up a Child

By | Blog | One Comment

The last few weeks I have been pondering a lot about the idea of training. I have thought about the training of the body, the training of the mind, and even the training of a child.

When I found out that we were having our eighth child, I knew myself very well in that, although I would have loved to have a painless (for the most part) birth, I would inevitably opt for another natural one. Our seventh (Maleah) was our first home-birth, and the longest labor of all. It was also painful. I began to lose control and panic at the end.

I knew with the birth of our eighth child I didn’t want that, so I read a book and decided to take the doctor/author up on his idea of training my body for birth. Much like a person would train for a marathon before actually running one, a woman has the opportunity to train herself for her big day as well. I began to train physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

The results? I barely made it to the place where I gave birth. From start to finish (the first moment I thought I may be having a real contraction) was about 2 and ½ hours. I was able to stay calm and relaxed. There was one moment that I wasn’t sure if I could do it. God used Keith to speak sweet reassurance, and immediately after that it was time to push. I would have given birth with one push if they would have let me!! But, I submitted and waited until the second contraction to push our little Mercy into the world. It was the less painful of any of our natural births by far.

You are wondering why I am telling you this, aren’t you? Well, recently I decided to begin to not only add regular cardio type exercise into my life, I wanted to begin to train again in such a way that I built strength. 5 days out of the week, my older girls and I walk/jog for 30 minutes and then do 10-15 minutes of Pilates a day. Every day working on a different part of the body. Sounds easy? I felt like throwing up during the first few days!! They make it look so easy. Now in week three I am no longer feeling sick, but a little stronger. It is still very hard, but we are not giving up and it feels great!

As I thought about these two areas of training, I realized the importance of training up our children at a whole new level! As we were praying together and reading scripture yesterday morning, we were asking God to give Keith wisdom with his scheduling. We asked that He would grant him joy and peace in the midst of stressful times. We prayed that Keith would be able to relax and find rest in the Lord. I looked over at my boys (7 and 5 years old) who know so very little about the commitment of a schedule, the stress of life, the responsibility of providing and caring for a family, and my heart went out to them.

I found myself wanting to bring them over and coddle them. No, I don’t want them to grow up. Life is hard. A blessing no doubt, but still so very hard. Will their wife support them and lift them to the Lord? Will she be a proper help meet to lift their arms when they get heavy? I don’t know. What I do know, is right now, it is my responsibility along with Keith, to train them up to be men who can lead, love, and live righteously.

Every day, taking the necessary steps. Every day, pushing through. Not giving up. Not giving in. Not giving out. Even when we feel we are going to hurl. Even when we are discouraged. We will sweat, we will tire, we will fall down, but we will get back up! And, by God’s grace raise up a man. A man of God.

Training = No pain. No gain.

God help us. Without You, we can do nothing.

The Mark of a Man

By | Blog | One Comment

In a few short days my friend, Mark Tidwell, will undergo another surgery. It will be his seventh since March of 2009. He has valiantly fought stage 4 colon cancer. And, in the fight of his life, he is leaving an eternal impression on many of us who watch him run the race set before him.

Mark, an area director for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in metro Atlanta, is also a former high school coach who holds a total of eight state championships in five different sports. He and his wife, Lee, have recently celebrated 28 years of marriage and have three children with families of their own. Read More

REAL MOMENTUM in Fayetteville, NC

By | Blog | One Comment

We would appreciate your prayers this weekend. We leave this morning as a family headed for Fayetteville, NC. I will have the honor of speaking to men five times over the next three days, and then once to the entire church body at Cumberland Union Baptist Church where John Blackman is pastor. My wife, Nichole, will be speaking to the ladies on Sunday morning.

This is not the first time this format has been suggested. I guess men need more focused ministry than do women? When you read the following exert from Patrick Morley’s book, No Man Left Behind, I can understand why pastors are providing more of an emphasis on men…

Men in the church face the same challenges and frustrations as men outside the church. For example, for every ten men in the church:

  • 9 will have children who leave the church.
  • 8 will not find their job satisfying.
  • 6 will pay the monthly minimum on the credit card bills.
  • 5 will have a major problem with pornography.
  • 4 will get divorced–affecting 1 million children each year.
  • Only 1 will have a biblical worldview.
  • All 10 will struggle to balance work and family.

I am sure it is safe to assume that the men in Fayetteville would be like most men in the other cities I have had the privilege to visit. Men are in need. They are in need of Him. And many of them are responding.

So, continue praying with us for a movement of men that transforms families and churches to the ends of the earth. Pray as the Lord leads you, but also press in and pray…

  • that God will give churches a renewed vision for the importance of ministering to and intentionally discipling every men in their church.
  • that God would work in the lives of men you know who are failing in some way–spiritually, emotionally, physically, financially, and relationally.
  • that God will continue to bond our hearts together for a movement of men and that He will call others to join us for REAL MOMENTUM to the ends of the earth!

Have a Jesus Filled Weekend!
Keith

Men at Work!

By | Blog | No Comments

“I just want to be honest… I am not the Spiritual leader of my family. But, I want to be. I really need your prayers, guys. I’ve let my wife down. I’ve let my children down. I have not been leading. I haven’t been a man of God and I need your prayers in becoming the husband and father my wife and children deserve.”

Those were not the exact words, but they are very close. Those words are very similar to the words I heard a dear man share in brokenness, from his heart, to a room full of “highly successful” men on a recent retreat. As a matter of fact, when I proceeded to ask the question, “How many of you would acknowledge that you are right where he is right now and you need prayer as well?” Every hand went up in the room… and God moved in!

In that same room… there was another man, with tears in his eyes, who spoke up and called out his own mediocrity and asked for men to come around him and hold him accountable. My mind went back to the days I played high school football when one of the leaders on the team would challenge the other players during halftime to step it up and leave it all on the field. This man was onto something. I could feel the momentum changing as he shared–in his brokenness–about not settling and wanting to make an impact in loving and leading his family.

And after a little while, I felt led to ask the men, “What is the one-word takeaway from the retreat?” Man after man shared the following words…

REPENTANCE. LEAD. MEDIOCRITY. UNITY. FAMILY.
RESOLVE. PRAYER. EXCITED. FAITHFUL. IDENTITY.
STAND. REAL. BUSY. DESIRE. FIGHT. RESPONSIBILITY.
REVIVAL. AWESOME. MOMENT. MEN.

And on it went for the next hour. With each word and testimony I could tell that men were being unleashed! I have received several emails detailing what God did when they returned to the families. Below is one of them from a man in the same room… In tears, he could barely get out his one word… “Men, to me this has been REAL.”

What a much needed, special, God filled weekend!!!  I want to thank you for teaching us and sharing the Word with us during this time together.  I certainly felt the touch of the Master.  As I came home and spoke of our weekend together with my wife, daughter, and my son… I think it was evident to them that this was a start to a new and improved husband and dad. Momentum!!

First, I apologized to them for not being what I should be to them. We talked about the “busy life.”  We talked about the responsibility of a husband and a dad and I showed them the study guide we used. We talked about each of these words that were shared:  REPENTANCE. LEAD. MEDIOCRITY. UNITY. FAMILY. RESOLVE. PRAYER. EXCITED. FAITHFUL. IDENTITY. STAND. REAL. BUSY. DESIRE. FIGHT. RESPONSIBILITY. REVIVAL. AWESOME. MOMENT. MEN.  Again, I want to thank you for being with us.  I am so glad to be a small part of a great group of men.

Moving forward,
____________________

The first step to becoming unleashed and unhindered as a man of God is to be honest. And, to be honest… in most any room filled with men, a very large majority of them are sitting in the same place… passive, disengaged, and floundering as the Spiritual leader of their family. Whether it is in a locker room, barbershop, coffee shop, or even in a room where deacon’s or elder’s gather to discuss “God’s Business,” a large majority of men are losing momentum in leading their family Spiritually.

Yet, when lovingly confronted with a commanding Word from God about the Truth of their responsibility as a Spiritual leader of their family, a true man of God will repent and reconcile his with God, his wife and children, and His church. It is moving every time a man moves when God moves!

Pray for us as we will leave for North Carolina Friday. I will be leading a men’s conference Friday evening and Saturday morning, and preaching on Sunday. Nichole will be speaking to the ladies while we are there. We are trusting God to continue moving in the hearts of men, families, and His church… to the ends of the earth!

Keep Praying for a Movement of Men!
Keith

Act Like Men!

By | Blog | 3 Comments

When men are not called up to be men this encroaching malignancy of passivity sets in deeply. Unless something changes in the hearts of men, the future of many families and churches in America will continue to be shaped by passive men whose weak leadership will negatively affect another generation of children.

Movement

However, be encouraged! I want to tell you that I have been watching men move. God has led me to call men out, when called out, I’ve been seeing many of them stand with their arms lifted high in surrender, and it’s been moving.

I believe that when a man surrenders to Almighty God, he actually wins. As a matter of fact, everybody wins! The number of men responding is well into the hundreds so far this year. Seeing men from generation to generation from the Dominican Republic to men in more than a dozen states from the US stand acknowledging their need for help in being faithful, godly men is refreshing.

Why?

When it comes to Biblical manhood, not only are we a confused culture, we are a confused church. For decades the feminists have been telling women to “Rise up and be strong!” and telling men to “Sit down and be quiet!”

Dr. Crawford Loritts, Sr. Pastor of Fellowship Bible Church in Roswell, GA, recently made the following statement on Father’s Day this year…

We are living in an extraordinarily dangerous time, and that is not an overstatement when it comes to men. Everything in the culture is going up against–and I don’t mean to sound like some powerless victim here–but everything in the culture is going against what we believe is a biblical definition and framework of what a man should be. This is not an overstatement.

The bottom line is this… men are more important than they think they are. And, they are more important than we think they are. Think with me for a moment… isn’t it true that when a man fails he doesn’t just ruin his own life, he usually takes down a good woman and two, three, or more children with him? Many of today’s problems in our culture and in our churches can be traced back to the failure of a man.

But, there is a movement of men on the rise! I have been watching them, and I am moved. I see them, by the hundreds, acting like men and becoming strong as they stand to their feet with their arms lifted high in surrender. I see them becoming responsible, repentant, and revived! God is at work in the lives of men. I am so glad that I am one of them and a part of the movement!

For a Movement of Men,

Keith

She Does Him Good

By | Blog | One Comment

NicholeBoggs2013Nichole Boggs shares her journey in coming to the place of being used of the Lord to influence her husband, Keith, and their sons Joshua and Stephen in a powerful way.

In the book, REAL MOMENTUM for Ladies, she illustrates specifically how ladies are more important than they think they are and writes from her life experience to help women understand that they… “can help stir on a movement that can slowly grow and build real momentum helping him reach forward to new heights in his relationship with her, the children, and others, for the glory of God.”

SHE DOES HIM GOOD

“She does him good,
and not harm, all the days of her life.”

-Proverbs 31:12a-

“Keith, when you get a few minutes, I need to talk with you.” The look of dread came over his face almost immediately after I asked him. He was most surely thinking, “What have I done this time?”

A little while later he came upstairs, shut the door, and sat on the chest next to the double window in our bedroom. He slowly folded his arms across his chest, and waited for the scolding. I cannot even tell you what it was that I was upset about. It doesn’t really matter, because it was always “something.”

I sat on the edge of the bed and looked over at him. The blinds were partly opened and the sun was shining through just a bit. The children were downstairs doing school and playing quietly.

I began to share my concerns and express my feelings. All the while, his shoulders seemed to slump a little lower. I stated my case, and now it was now his turn. What he said next would change my life forever.

Maybe I had heard these words from him before? Maybe… in a different kind of way? Maybe… in a letter or in a prayer? I don’t know.

What I do know, is that God, in His perfect timing and loving-kindness, spoke very loud and clear to my innermost being through a weary and tired husband.

With a gentle tone he slowly began, “Nichole…

“She does him good and not evil all the days of her life” It’s more than a verse, it’s a vision. We pray that it catches fire in hearts and homes across America. Watch the best part of REAL MOMENTUM…

What other women are saying…

This piece is one of the most compelling, beautiful descriptions of what God has called women to be that I have ever read!  Your honesty and humility will bear much fruit in the lives of His women. Beth Bennett of Alpharetta, GA, Ministry Ventures

I think God is going to use this in a mighty way. I like that it is short and to the point. It is not an overwhelming booklet to read and yet it targets and goes to the core of what all of us as ladies struggle with on a daily basis and need a reminder! Janet Johnson of Buchanan, MI, Life Action Ministries

What a blessing this will be to so many women.  The Holy Spirit used it to gently convict me and remind me of my position and power that I have with my husband.  I can bring him good or evil. Some days I choose poorly.  Thanks for sharing this with me.  I am energized and encouraged to press forward and be the woman of God that He has created me to be for this Robertson family. Kari Robertson of Knoxville, TN, FamilyWalk

How Firm a Foundation?

By | Blog | No Comments

Last week I was in Washington, DC for Reload ’13, a national men’s leadership conference for the National Coalition of Ministries to Men. Several men’s ministry leaders were there to be encouraged in the noble task of ministering to and discipling men. Not only did I leave encouraged, I left empowered.

Having had the privilege of hearing from some of nation’s leaders in US Senate Chaplain Barry Black, Lt. General Jerry Boykin, Stephen Kendrick and other faithful men of God. There were statements that were made that helped me and I wanted to share a few of those as well as some thoughts I had while in the sessions.

As you read through these, let’s continue praying, believing, and working toward a movement of men that is unleashed and unhindered for the glory of God that ultimately transforms families and churches to the ends of the earth!

1. “We are living in the first generation of history who is having a hard time identifying what a real man is.” -Pastor Tom Joyce

2. “The only thing you have to make a man out of is a boy.” Bill Terry

3. “Pastor, aim your preaching at your men. And, if you’re going to reach men, you need to preach the hard passages.”Pastor Stephen Kendrick

4. “David was in his finest hour when he was in the battle.”Lt. General Jerry Boykin

5. “If you’re going to win as a man you need some ugly wins. Ugly wins are good for you.”Pastor Rod Hairston

6. When God puts you in the valley of death, will you come out alive?

7. We do not need another program… we need a movement of God. You can become so programed and practical that you miss the Spirit of God.

8. Men are the tip of the spear that God will use to pierce through a decadent (a decline due to an erosion of moral, ethical, or sexual traditions) day.

9. “You’ve got to be ready to fight throughout all the seasons of your life.” -US Senate Chaplain Barry Black

10. The average man sitting in your church knows-deep down-that he could be more than he has become. What are you doing to help him be that man?

LincolnMemorial

Before leaving DC, I made a few quick stops with Clark Osborn of Omaha, NE at some of the memorials. My main target was the Lincoln Memorial. Wow, what a sight! It is anchored in a concrete foundation that is 44 to 66 feet in depth.

I had been there before.

But it was different this time.

It was striking to reflect on the positioning of the Lincoln Memorial.

Abraham Lincoln, one of our nation’s greatest leaders, is memorialized looking out over the Reflecting Pool beyond the Washington Monument to our Nation’s Capital where decisions are made concerning the future direction of our country.

As Clark and I prayed together on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial, I couldn’t help but wonder what God sees as He sits upon His Throne in Heaven. While standing there on the steps of that memorial, I was quickened to one of the passages I have been sharing with men in recent conferences and conversations…

1 Timothy 3:14-15, “These things I write to you, though I hope to come to you shortly; 15 but if I am delayed, I write so that you may know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.”

Those pillars (columns) both supporting and decorating the Lincoln Memorial reminded me of something I’ve long believed when considering the Scriptures… Holy men of God are significantly important to any structure… the family, the church, the nation. When I left DC last week, I left more dependent on God’s help in leading REAL MOMENTUM Ministries to be effective in equipping churches and encouraging families to raise generations of faithful, godly men who are holy rather than hollow.

For a firm foundation
in Truth that transforms
families & churches
to the ends of the earth!

Keith

Rise Up!

By | Blog | No Comments

Picture this…

My little Joshua has grown into a fine young man. Strong. Courageous. A man of great integrity. He has been called into a battle. The very first hard battle of his life. His victory is determined by whether or not Keith can keep his heavy and burdened arms raised up.

Keith loves Joshua and would do anything to see him win this battle. He has done all he can. Taught him and trained him. Loved him and disciplined him. Laughed and cried with him. He has done life together with Joshua. And, now it is his big day. “Keep your arms up, daddy!” Joshua says as he looks back and sees his father’s arm raised high. The battle is on! He is doing well. Making good decisions. Seeing God’s favor in his life. After a little while Keith’s arms are getting heavy. They are drooping. He just can’t keep them raised any longer.

Joshua begins to experience defeat. He is losing, and people around him are suffering because of it. “Oh no, here is a chair. Sit down and I will help you. Girls, come here! Your daddy needs us!” I recognize his weariness and Joshua’s struggle. I don’t want him to lose. Neither one of them. I position myself on one side and the girls rally together on the other. Over time, as we thank him, help him, forgive him, and pray for him, we begin to see those weary arms gain strength. They begin to rise up. So high, even, that as a discouraged Joshua looks up he sees his daddy’s arms higher than before, and Joshua wins the battle for generations to come.

prayer-on-my-knees

Sound silly or sound familiar? That is what Aaron and Hur did for Moses in Exodus 17. They were his arm lifters and the Israelite army under the leadership of Joshua defeated the Amalekites and generations were affected.

Ladies, you may think I am over-dramatizing things a bit. But, I believe with all my heart that it will take us and our children to raise the arms of the men in our lives by thanking them, helping them, forgiving them, and praying for them so that we create such an atmosphere that the generation behind us can WIN and experience REAL MOMENTUM like never before!

STOP! Do These 3 Things 1st! – Part 3

By | Blog | No Comments

I would like to share a personal word of testimony with you. Keith and I had been married for 13 years while I was sitting under a message on bitterness and how it coorelates with unforgiveness. The Holy Spirit illuminated the fact that I had gone all of these years (our eighth child was only 3 months old) blinded to the unforgiveness in my heart toward my husband about something that happened before we were even married!

I did not realize that the reason I struggled with trusting him and my own insecurities really pointed back to my unforgiving heart. We talked in great depth together about the situation and for the first time, I really was able to let go and forgive. It was not something done to me in particular, but I took it so personal that it affected our marriage negatively for 13 years!!

I had passionately loved Keith (or so I thought), but I had not really unconditionally loved him by offering the same grace to him that God had and does offer me. You see, I was like the man in Jesus’ parable, who, after he was forgiven a great debt, went out and beat his fellow slave because he owed him some paltry sum. My own spiritual immaturity kept me from living a free and fulfilling life with my husband.

I cannot say it may not rear its ugly head again, but so far I believe I was able to release Keith from that guilt and shame that only I kept placing on him. God had already granted it to him.

So, that brings me to my third point. Before you can truly pray effectively for your husband, father, son, etc… you must forgive them.

It won’t just be big things to forgive them for. It will be the little things too. Like unmet expectations. Hurtful words. Lack of affection. Feeling unappreciated. Lack of leadership. Seemingly unanswered prayers. When you pray and your heart holds resentment that he isn’t or hasn’t become the very thing that you are praying for him about you must forgive him.

Release Him. Take the pressure off of him. You may never forget the wrong done to you, but for your own emotional healing and wholeness, you must let go of the offending one and begin to “return good for evil. “

Now you can thank him and help him and pray for him. He has the potential now to rise up! To God be the glory! May God help us.

Thankful for the forgiveness granted to me on a continual basis, so I can give it to others,
Nichole

Is there a lady out there who has thanked God about something that directly relates to the man in your life? How about thanking him personally? If not yet, please do it now!

After you do that number one most important thing, then I want to share with you the second thing that I pray you will say before you begin to pour your heart out to God about specifics in the life of your husband, son, father, etc…

BECOME HELPFUL TO HIM!

Genesis 2:18, “And the LORD, God said, ‘It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.'”

1 Corinthians 11:9, “Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man.”

God is so good in His design. He really is. Why do we as people try to mix it up? Confuse it? Water it down? Downgrade it? Because that is exactly what the enemy desires for us to do. If he can get us off track in our specific roles that God lays out clearly in His Word, then our guys lose momentum and our families and churches suffer.

God designed us to be a helper. Before you brush this off, consider the fact that God calls Himself a helper. One who comes alongside and helps carry the load. One who makes it a priority to seek out ways to help another’s life become just a little easier. One who fills the gap. One who brightens the day. One who makes sure needs are met. One who builds up and doesn’t tear down. One who speaks the truth in love. One who esteems others as better than herself. One who motivation is not selfish ambition. One who is gracious and kind. One who lays down her life for another. One who considers her role and resolves to take it seriously… for eternity’s sake.

So, instead of thinking…”How can he help me today?”, let’s begin by asking God, “Lord, how can I help him today?”! And, then ask the Lord to empower you to do it.

In our girls bedroom hanging above their mirror are the words “ABSOLUTELY NO NAGGING.” It was Keith’s idea to hang it in there. Why? Because we as women have a tendency to nag and he knows that from experience! Now, don’t get mad at Keith. It is biblical. God tells us several times in His Word that women often are nags and it would be better for the man to live on the corner of a housetop than in the same room with that kind of woman. I can sense God’s heart really going out to that man.

Our guys are not perfect. Never will be. The sooner we realize that, the better. Instead of nagging, belittling, mothering, and complaining, why don’t we begin to hush and help them.

How can you help your man today? God will show you! May you be willing.

This is a question that you will need to be mindful of all day. There will be opportunities to be helpful just waiting for you. An example of that for me is Keith has been telling me he needs my help in the start of our new ministry. I have been like, “Yeah, yeah. I am with you. I will help you.” Then, I go into the next room, assume my normal responsibilites and not give it much more thought.

Until I finally decided to go to him and ask specifically how I could help, I wasn’t being much of a help at all. For me to be able to give him 30 minutes to an hour or longer of my time means I have to readjust my schedule, get older children to watch the younger, stay up a little later at night, etc…But, in doing that, guess what happened? Keith moved from feeling like he was 9th on my list (he has joked and said he feels a lot of times like he is last after the children) on up to the top. Men know when they are last and when they are number one. They take on a whole new countenance when they reach the top!

So very thankful that this day is a new day to be a godly helpmeet to my husband and model that for my daughters and practice that on my sons,

STOP! Do These 3 Things 1st!

By | Blog | No Comments

Last week I shared how I have been praying for the three most important guys in my life in such a way that I have never done before. It has been such a blessing! Instead of beating myself up about not doing it like I should over these years, I am embracing this great opportunity by making a commitment to do it every day right now.

When God allows the opportunity for me to speak into the lives of women, I have been able to encourage them in this area. “Pray for the men in your life!” But, really that is the last part of my message to them. I have come to realize that if we really want to see momentum in the lives of our men in a way that glorifies God, then there are a few other components that I personally believe are vitally important.

As I hand out the 31 Days of Prayer For Your Husband Prayer Guide* (or in your case, a copy that I pray you print out using this link), I tell them at the very top there are three things that I want them to write down. I encourage them to do these before they actually pray a single thing over their husband, son, dad, or brother.

Today, I want to share with you the very first one.

THANK GOD FOR HIM!!

In 1 Thessalonians 5:18, God tells us to give thanks in all things. I realize that if I cannot begin to give thanks for my husband then my spirit may not be prepared to pray genuinely.

I have a tendency to look at the negative and dwell on it. It has been hurtful in my marriage and in my parenting. Recently, Keith and I had a heart to heart. If there was a scale set before us, the negative comments would outweigh any thankfulness or encouragement I have given to him over the years. That deeply saddened me. I made a decision that day to see it change. For me, that means I must be intentional. Sometimes I am appreciative and thankful, but I don’t express it.

So, the very first thing I do whenever I come before the Lord to pray for him is thank God for something in Keith’s life. It may be something he has done for me or the children. It may be a character quality that he is strong in. It could be a number of things. Or, for some, it may only be one thing. In that case, thank God for that over and over. You will at some point find something else to be thankful for. It is a start!

For me, the prayer guide and the verses opened a whole new outlook on Keith’s life. I began to see things that were very good that I had not noticed before. More things to thank God! Thankfulness is important because it softens our heart toward our husband and it changes the direction of negative thinking into positive thinking that can bring forth change in our own hearts.

Don’t forget to express this thankfulness to them as well. It will do wonders for them. I promise you that!! Men thrive on affirmation and encouragement. Simply knowing that they are appreciated lifts them higher and helps set them on a course for victory.

This morning I thanked God for a husband who is sensitive to the spiritual needs of our children. I thanked God that my son, Joshua, has had a heart that is becoming tender to the things of God. I also thanked God for Stephen’s sweet kisses and sweet blue eyes. Whether the thankfulness is a result of spiritual or physical things is not the issue! Simply being thankful is the issue!

Ladies, we must become thankful, thankful, thankful. It will change our life. It will influence everyone around us.

Who are you praying for? Young ladies, begin to lift up your earthly father, your brothers, your future mate. Grandmothers, begin to lift up your husband, sons, and grandsons. Thank Him for them, but don’t forget to thank them too.

Our family has a great reason to celebrate and thank God this morning! Joshua, who came to his daddy in brokenness and repentance last night, gave his heart and life to Jesus as Keith counseled him and God’s Holy Spirit drew him. We have been praying and waiting on this day for quite some time. It was perfect and special in every way. To God be the glory!!

Thankful for my new little brother in Christ… now that is REAL MOMENTUM

Prayer Is Key to REAL MOMENTUM

By | Blog | No Comments

I can’t believe I wanted to turn the heater on the other morning and it is the middle of May! As I bundled up with my sweater and cup of coffee, I was overcome with great praise and thanksgiving as I prayed over my husband and two sons.

The specific prayer this morning was for God to help them grow in wisdom and grant them favor with God and man.

I begin to see how God has already been doing this in the life of my husband and I so desire it in the life of my boys as well! The Bible says that Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and he gained favor with God and man. I put Keith, Joshua, and Stephen’s name in that verse. Later, I go on to read where good sense gains favor with man. How do we gain good sense? In Psalm 19, Scripture tells us that the Word of God is pure and will make the simple wise!

Interesting that my alone time before The Lord in my commitment to pray for the men in my life and then in another time where I brought our children around to encourage them in the Word, that God would connect the two times and I would see how gaining favor with man directly correlates to gaining the wisdom of God! There will be people in our lives that see it and appreciate it and we will be blessed because of it!

I am having a wonderful time laying the three most special guys in my life at the feet of Jesus on a regular basis!

Want to join me?

Even if I never see change (although I am!!!), the change may very well take place in me.

May I leave you with a most meaningful testimony that I have received? I pray it will stir your heart to begin praying for your husband, son(s), father, brother(s), future husband, future son-in-law’ etc.. like never before!

May 9, 2013 | “Keith- my husband didn’t get to attend the REAL MOMENTUM Men’s Conference at Screven due to his work schedule, and for that I am very sorry. However, he has been greatly affected by the message that Nichole gave to me that Sunday morning. :) Stevie and I have been married for 18 years, and serving the Lord together for 16 of those years, but we have never experienced God in our marriage the way we have since I heard Nichole speak. For the past 10 days I have been thanking my husband (for things that I never really noticed before) and I have used the 31 Days of Prayer Guide* that Nichole passed out. I’m shocked at how different my thoughts and actions have been towards him over the past 1 1/2 weeks. I’m equally shocked at how he has responded. I really can’t put it all into words– ‘A transformed Christ centered marriage’ are the closest words that I can find to express how those 2 simple acts have worked in my life. Please share this with Nichole and let her know how VERY MUCH I appreciate her teaching me and the other ladies how to show Christ like love to our husbands. Thank you both for sharing your lives with all of us.”

–Joy Sanders, Georegtown, SC

I will share later this week on two very important things to team up together with so this time of prayer becomes a power packed commitment that will change your life!

Praying for REAL MOMENTUM that transforms families and churches to the ends of the earth!

“My servant Caleb… he has a different spirit in him and has followed me fully… ” Num. 14:24; Joshua 14:6-10

This week I was reminded of a spring where I had the privilege of working on getting our garden ready to plant with my two boys, Joshua and Stephen, as our first major project together. Now, they are seven and five and our project is a little different. We’ve been moving into a new home over the last month. The task was a large one… build planters (our new garden layout of choice) finish the downstairs basement, build and stain custom bunks with Papa, and keep your “cool” in the midst of chaos all-the-while living in two locations and being out of town twice. REAL MOMENTUM Weekend

We are excited about the opportunity to be in Georgetown, SC (right near Myrtle Beach-the golfing capital of the world). I will not be getting out on the links with other men this weekend, that’s coming up at the end of May with a group of men for a retreat with old friends I had the privilege of pastoring.

This weekend, I will be getting into the lives of men and intentionally sharing my heart for a movement of men to be unleashed and unhindered for the glory of God that transforms families and churches to the ends of the earth. Read More

40 Reasons Why They Love Me!

By | Blog | No Comments

Welcome to the ‘Old Man’s Club’ wrote one friend. You guessed it, I turned THE-BIG-FOUR-OH! Yep, I just went went over the hill! It was a special day to say the least. I was honored to be blessed and encouraged by so many on my 40th birthday. My birthday is special in that I have a twin brother, Kenny, who also celebrates his 40th as well. I enjoyed reading messages sent to him on Facebook. God is so good!

I was honored in so many ways… a video from my children, messages, blessings, calls, emails, gifts, date with my wife to LONGHORN (can I get a witness!!) etc… My brother and I also was given an Extreme Christian Outdoors Turkey Hunt that will be filmed in the spring! But, one of the greatest gifts I received, and will never forget, was from my children. Inspired by the list I gave my dad on his 70th Birthday of 70 things on how he made his mark on me, my children made me a list: ‘40 Reasons Why We Love You.‘ It was framed and Morgan read them to me at our 40th birthday party. I felt led to share them with you so that you would continue to lift me up in prayer because I want add to that list! Read More

There may be several of us that have experienced “buck fever” or have had a good fish hooked, only to have the line break. What about the last 9 seconds of the 2012 SEC Championship game when Georgia was on the five yard-line?  We could spend hours telling stories of missed opportunities.

Sitting in a hunting stand on a cold, crisp morning watching a whitetail deer in his habitat always gets my adrenaline racing. Another great feeling is the bite and tug of a nice fish on the end of the fishing line. Pure excitement! Growing up hunting and fishing were great joys of my childhood. I was blessed to have a father who taught me and my brothers many things about being a sportsman. He was very successful and I desired to be as accomplished as he was. I would often ask his opinion on which fishing lure to use to catch the most fish or which hunting stand would be the best to harvest a deer. He was an unselfish leader as a sportsman. He enjoyed our accomplishments as sportsmen, maybe more than he did his own. He would often do his best to make sure that my twin brother, Keith, and I would get the best spots ahead of him. However, he always seemed to outdo us. Read More

The Beginning of a Great Work

By | Blog | 2 Comments

Revival is a great work! Revival is a much needed work! The book of Nehemiah teaches us some major truths in regard to the work of revival. God’s desire for the nation of Israel was that they would be a nation through which He could bless the world. Nehemiah became desperate and surrendered to rebuild and restore the walls around the city of Jerusalem.

The work of revival today is no different than it was in Nehemiah’s day. We need a revival among our nation. A revival where nothing about us as individuals, families, churches, and communities remains the same.

A work of revival so significant that everything about us becomes everything about Jesus!

We can learn from the book of Nehemiah that when God begins the great work of revival, there will be… Read More

No Time for Revival?

By | Blog | No Comments

Sow for yourselves righteousness;
Reap in mercy;
Break up your fallow ground,
For it is time to seek the Lord,
Till He comes and rains righteousness on you.
Hosea 10:12

If there has ever been a time for you and I to seek the Lord, the time is now. Revival intentionally interrupts life, and many of just don’t have the time for such interruptions. Sad, but this is a true reality for us as individuals, and even as families and churches. The fact is that you and I will not run into nor wander into revival. We will not experience revival going here, there, and yonder; doing this, that, and the other.

But, if we just slowed down long enough to seek God, we just might experience revival. And revival is not an emotional touch; it’s a complete takeover.

For us to experience revival, we must want revival. And wanting revival means seeking the great Reviver. The truth is that everything changes when we seek Him. Everything. Let me name a few… God is glorified, people are sanctified, the church is edified, the world is mystified, and the enemy is notified. In the church today, who does not want to see that kind of transformation?

Yet for many of us, we are too busy to seek the face of God for a revival that would lead to that kind of transformation. Our schedules, rather than our Savior, dictate and determine most everything we do today in our own lives… even in our families and churches. More than ever, we need revival. But we will not experience fresh wind and fresh power in our lives, families, and churches as long as we continue saying, “yes,” to most things. And when we when say, “yes,” to most things, we are essentially saying, “no,” to the most important thing… the Great Reviver.

Dr. Adrian Rogers once said, “If Satan can’t make you bad, he’ll make you busy.” And that is exactly where most of us are living… we may not be bad, just busy, and most of us are too busy, leaving no time for revival.

Most of us are deceived into thinking that we are making good progress but we do not realize that we are going in the wrong direction. Some of you are probably too busy to read this post.

For us to experience revival, we will need to stop some things in order to start some things. We will need to get out of some things so that we can get into some things. For some of us, we will need to step down so that we can step up.

Time is a precious gift—every second, every minute, every day—use it wisely. You cannot pay the cost of losing time. Unlike other resources, time cannot be bought or sold, borrowed or stolen, stocked or saved up, manufactured, reproduced, or modified. All we can do is make use of it or not, it [time] nevertheless slips away.

Do we have time for Revival? Slow down, take a deep breathe, and listen for a moment… you just might here the Spirit of God say, “Be still and know that I am God.” And when you hear Him speak, let Him takeover, completely. You’ll be glad you did!

Taking the Time to Seek the Lord for Revival,

Keith

The Silence of “Amen!” from the Home

By | Blog | 2 Comments

I recently read about an Amazon search that caused me to take a deep breath and catch my bearings as a husband and father. The search was conducted in May 2007, where an Amazon search for books under “parenting” listed 49,314 books. If those books were an average of one inch thick and you were to stack one on top of the other, the stack of books would total 4,109 feet high. That stack of parenting books would be more than twice the height of the Sears Tower, which reaches 1,450 feet into the air in downtown Chicago, IL. The same stack of books would be twice the height of the Freedom Tower (pictured) that is currently under construction with a projected height of 1,776 feet in New York.

Yet, there is One Book, that reaches much higher. Read More
